David Moore is a lecturer in Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh.
His work is held in private and public collections around the world and he has undertaken residencies and symposia in countries including Japan, Switzerland, America, Macedonia and the Ukraine. Moore works across many media but considers his core thinking to be centred in the discipline of sculpture.
In 2012 he was the invited artist to be in Out in the Open, a new publication about Public Art in West Lothian that looks at many perspectives of commissioning, siting and making Public Art in Scotland.
Alongside distinguished individual careers, sculptors Kate Davis and David Moore formed ME-WE Productions in 2010 and have collaborated on a number of projects and exhibitions in London, Edinburgh, Berlin, Spain France and Japan. They completed a Dockland Light Railway commission at Langdon Park Station in 2010 and their first short film ‘The Cut’ won best experimental film at the Swedenborg Short Film Award in 2011. Davis and Moore spent the summer of 2013 on an artist’s residency at the Cornelius Foundation in the South of France working on the relationship between writing poetry and making collages. They are currently working with Futurecity on a large scale public art commission for Riverlight, a Rogers + Stark development in Nine Elms, London. The commission is due to be completed by 2017 with the first stage already open to the public.
Kate Davis is a senior Tutor and Fellow in Sculpture at Royal College of Art, London.
